D’Alfonso named Player of the Week

Southern Maine Community College baseball player Anthony D’Alfonso was chosen United States Collegiate Athletic Association Player of the Week for the period ending April 19. D’Alfonso, a freshman from Westbrook, batted .714 (10-for-14), scored seven runs and knocked in a pair of RBIs in two doubleheaders during the week. He also picked up a win against Bridgton Academy by giving up just three hits and one earned run while striking out nine in seven innings of work.
