Greater Portland office workers can have a lunch delivered right to their workplace, thanks to the fourth annual Meals on Wheels Day on April 6. Portland Rotarians have joined our effort and will deliver the lunches. Money raised supports the Salvation Army Meals on Wheels program, which provides more than 41,000 meals annually to homebound senior citizens. The lunch features a homemade turkey and cheese sandwich, chips, a cookie and bottled water.

Meals will be delivered on April 6 between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1p.m. A five meal minimum order is required. The cost of each lunch is $10, which will be collected at time of delivery. All proceeds support the senior citizen Meals on Wheels program. Orders will be taken by phone until Thursday, March 30.

For more information or to place an order, please contact the Salvation Army at 774-6304, ext. 265.
