Theft
On Jan. 9, a female shopper reported that she left her purse behind in a Sam’s Club restroom and it was gone by the time she returned. The purse contained debit and credit cards along with $100 in cash and three Social Security cards.
Erratic driving
Police received a report about a school bus driving erratically and speeding on Jan. 10. The witness provided a statement to police, who then forwarded the complaint to the Scarborough Transportation Department.
Found truck
On Jan. 10, police recovered a stolen pick-up truck and trailer at the Wal-Mart parking lot. The vehicle and trailer, which were valued at $84,000, were reported stolen from Everett, Mass.
Parking lot altercation
Police responded to an incident at Puffin Stop on Route 1 where a man reported that another person grabbed his throat and kicked his vehicle door causing some $400 in damage. Police located the suspect and expect to file charges in the near future.
Missing purse at high school
On Jan. 12, a high school student reported the theft of a purse from the girl’s locker room. The purse, along with its contents, are valued at about $320.
Found dog
Police located a golden retriever the night of Jan. 12 at Ferry Beach. Since the animal shelter was closed, the dog remained with dispatch until the following morning when it was brought to the shelter.
Stolen rings
On Jan. 13, police received a report of the theft of a sapphire and diamond ring along with an opal ring. The pair were valued at $600. According to police, the ring’s owner filed the report after the owner of her cleaning service returned the rings and told her that one of her employees stole the rings.

Patrick Carr, 32, of Georgetown, La., was arrested on a warrant charge of operating under the influence.
Jan. 10
Anthony J. Ricci, 23, of Olympia Street, Portland, was arrested on Route 1 on a warrant charge – failing to pay fine/operating under the influence.
Jeffrey S. Allen, 39, with no address available, was arrested on Route 1 for unregistered vehicle (150 days), possession of cocaine and possession of Vicodin.

Denise M. Harmon, 31, Cape Road, Limington, was arrested on a warrant charge – failing to appear for theft by unauthorized taking.
A juvenile, 17, of Twilight Drive, Scarborough, was arrested for theft.

Donald R. James, 42, of Terri Circle, Westbrook, was arrested on a warrant charge – failing to pay fine for operating under the influence and operating after suspension.
