The Standish Fire Department visited Edna Libby School for educational classes on October 11. Fire Department personnel attending were Lt. Ben Haskell, Lt. Adam Royer, FF Kevin Leeman, FF Will Flanders, and FP Barry Jamison. The morning consisted of a discussion on “Home Safety” and how to “Keep Fires Out,” and a video showing students what to do in the event of a fire emergency. Students and staff also had a first-hand look at a fire engine and the many tools used by a firefighter. Pictured are Barry Jamison, Ben Haskell, Will Flanders and Adam Royer with Mrs. Olesen’s 3rd grade class.
