A Project Peace “Kickoff” Assembly was held at Edna Libby School on October 6. Students and staff sang the song “Peace is the World Smiling” and the signs that go with it. Two project peace skits were performed by teachers. The first one taught how to solve problems in lining up properly in the cafeteria at lunch time. The second skit showed how to use kind Project Peace words in communicating with friends outside at recess. Another special treat included a reading of “The Peace Book” written by Todd Parr and read by Cathie Bunk. Bunk, along with Rita Clifford are the district coordinators for Project Peace. Pictured, from left, are Polla Semple, Cathie Bunk and Linda Wilson. The other Project Peace teachers at Edna Libby are Carla Keenan, Ellen Lucy, Mary Ellen Olesen, Beth Peavey and Rosanna Mangini.
