Fried dough and popcorn and riding on all the rides. I’ve ridden the roller coaster in Old Orchard Beach 25 times. And my husband and I were the first ones to ride the OOB roller coaster. He welded it.

The french fries. They’re better than you can get anywhere else, including at home. I usually go to the Fryeburg Fair every two or three years.

I’m not too sure what brings me there, but I like the locality of it. Everybody there is local. Everybody knows everybody.

All the good smells. The agriculture, all the food, the smells of fresh fall air. That’s the first thing that comes to mind when I think about fall fairs. I go every year to the Fryeburg Fair because my parents are one of the craft vendors.

Seeing I haven’t been to one in 20 years, I’d have to say the horse pulls and the fried dough. I’m normally in Florida at this time of year because that’s where I live for the winter. So we normally don’t get to go.
