Baby Shower

Alison Chaney was entertained at a baby shower on Saturday, September 17, given by her aunt, Jean Pearson, in her home in Scarborough. Attending the shower were Joan Enman (Alison’s mother), Millie Enman (Alison’s grandmother), Shari Chaney (Alison’s mother-in-law), Amy Pearson (Alison’s cousin from Seattle, Washington) along with the following family and friends: Megan and Kaylan Chaney, Mabel Anderson, Phyllis and Christine Smith, Sandra Mitsmenn, Kathy Dennison and Peggy Jackson. Alison received many lovely gifts and a good time was had by all.

Meeting

The Rebekah Lodge #71 will hold installation of officers October 5 at the Odd Fellows Hall. They will be installed by District Deputy President Sandy Lunt and her staff. The new officeers are: Noble Grand, Elsie Haskell; Vice Grand, Rita carey; Financial Secretary, Shirley Atkinson; Secretary, Joan Labbe; Treasurer, Brendda Collette and the Trustees are Paul Carro, Josie Morrell and Marge Hansen.

Birthdays

Polly Varney celebrated her 75th birthday September 26 with family members. Her brother, Neils Sorenson, celebrated his birthday September 28, and her sister, Mimi Rhodes, is celebrating her birthday today.

Appraisal Day

Heritage Appraisal day will be October 8 from 1-3 p.m. at the Windham Public Library. The appraiser will be Bruce Bell. The cost is $5 per item and there is a three-item limit per person.

Anniversary

Julie Lunt Farley and her husband, Jason will celebrate their third anniversary October 5. They will travel to Camden later in the month to celebrate.

Meeting

The Windham Health Council will meet October 5 at 1 p.m. at the home of Dot Bicknell. Refreshments will be served and anyone interested in learning more about the Health Council is welcome.

Birthday Dinner

Donna Anderson clebrated her 37th birthday September 20 having dinner with friends. Joining her were: Stephen Estes, Lew and Joanne Weatherby, Kyle Estes and Will and Gracie Dove.

Display

There is a diaplay of rocks and toys at the Windham Public Library until October 8. They are from a collection of Kelli and Cory Hutchison. Some of the toys on display include: Happy Meal toys, Mini beannie-babies, Match Box cars and computer games.

Moved

David and Molly McDonald have moved to Skowhegan. They bought a “New Englander” home east of town about four miles. They have a farmer’s porch with a real nice view.
