Death on the Mound, an interactive murder mystery will be held on Saturday, October 1, at 6:30 p.m. at Little Wohelo Lodge in Raymond.
It is 1944, and the Boston Odd Sox, a men’s team comprised of baseball players who couldn’t do their military service for various (mainly physical) reasons, are playing the Chicago Cheeky Chicks, one of the women’s baseball teams formed to fill the baseball void left by the war.
Suddenly, in the last and final inning, Petticoat Peterson collapses on the mound, dead. The game is called off and the police are called in to investigate. With fans, managers, players, gamblers and others involved, just about anyone could have done it.
We invite you to join us at the “baseball game,” and to play a character in the plot. Before the evening is over, you may be the one to solve the murder!
A “ballpark dinner” will be served with this evening of entertainment, you provide your favorite beverages.
This is a wonderful opportunity to do some acting and have a great time. There is a limit of 50 participants, so reserve your space quickly by purchasing your ticket at the Raymond Village Library. Once your guest list is filled, you will be given a package containing more detailed information about the evening, your character and props.
For more information, call the Raymond Village Library at 655-4382. A reminder: The library’s hours are Sunday, Monday and Wednesday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
