Here’s a construction crew on-site on the Webb Road in Windham, many years ago. Probably not a one of them was a carpenter, but they were having a barn raising, after Frank Sawyer’s barn burned down. Family history says that wet hay had been put into the barn, and internal combustion resulted in the barn “blowing up.” As was the custom in the old days, neighbors got together and rebuilt the barn.
