This busy intersection of Route 202 and Windham Center Road will be getting a traffic light in 2006, according to the latest word from Augusta. Times have certainly changed since this photo was taken, when the small building on the left was the Public Library (that’s what the sign says!) and the other building was a grain/grocery store. Both buildings have been in constant use for over 100 years and are today the property of the Windham Historical Society. The library is now located beside the Society headquarters and the old grocery remains on the corner and is now a museum, open to the public on Thursday mornings.
