The election race for two available seats on the Cape Elizabeth Town Council is becoming more competitive, as five people have taken out nomination papers.

Incumbent Anne Swift-Kayatta will be running for her third term. Councilor Jack Roberts will be finishing his second term and will not run again.

Four other Cape Elizabeth residents have taken out nomination papers from the town clerk’s office for the two council seats: Mary Page, Greg Altznauer, Cynthia Dill and Richard L. West.

Two seats on the School Board are also opening up as Katharine Ray and Henry Adams complete their present terms. So far, the race is between the incumbent Ray and Linda Winker. Adams has decided not to run again.
