A trip to New York City was a rare event for Windhamites in the 1950s. In April, 1955, these Windham High School seniors took a moment to make history. It was a dress-up occasion, as you can see from the white gloves, hats and even neckties. Front, from left: Joanne Lawrence, chaperone Mrs. Ercell Gordon, Sandra Allen, Caroline Pecoraro, Dora McKinney, Barbara Taylor; back row, WHS principal Ercell Gordon, Ruth Mains, Ernest Nichols, Roger Reeves and Bill Vaughan.
