Owen Sinclair, a junior at Windham High School, will return to the 17th WMMA Bach Festival Aug. 26 to perform the first violin part of J.S. Bach’s Double Concerto for Two Violins. The performance will take place at the First Church of Christ, Congregational on Main St. in North Conway, New Hampshire.

Sinclair, accompanist for the Windham Chamber Singers, has won numerous prizes for violin and piano performance. Sinclair’s first orchestra performance was with the National Suzuki Orchestra in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2000. Since then he has joined several orchestras for performances including, most recently, the Portland Conservatory Festival Orchestra in June of this year. He gave his first solo recital at the Portland Conservatory of Music in 2002. Sinclair studies violin with Ronald Lantz of Portland.

The soloists will be accompanied by the Bach Festival Chamber Orchestra. Both of the young artists performed the Double Concerto at Bates College this spring with the Androscoggin Valley Community Orchestra, Paul Ross Conductor.

The performance of the Double Concerto starts at 7 p.m. and is part of a series of festival events taking place Aug 26-28 in several venues.
