The Jewish Community Alliance (JCA) is kicking off its annual fund-raising event, “Campaign 2005,” with a special BBQ and concert featuring the Jewish singing group “Visions” at the JCA Center Day Camp in North Windham on Sunday, Aug. 21 from 12 to 4 p.m. This event is free and open by invitation, please contact the JCA at 772-1959 to RSVP.
“Visions” is made up of three women – Andra, Talia, and Amy – who present positive messages with an emphasis on making the world a better place.
Their unique variety of styles ranging from ballads to pop, prayerful to soulful, and traditional to contemporary, are a hit with every age. They have recorded three CDs since they began performing together in 1997. Andra, Talia and Amy have toured the nation, performing at festivals, conferences and synagogues. This is their first visit to Maine.
The Jewish Community Alliance is a non-profit organization serving the Jewish population throughout Southern Maine. The mission of the JCA is to build Jewish community locally, in Israel and throughout the world and to develop, provide, and support diverse programs, education, and services in order to accomplish these goals.
