Windham Town Councilors head inside the Windham Public Library, their first stop on a tour of the town’s municipal facilities on Tuesday night. With Town Manager Anthony Plante at the wheel of a Rec Department van, the councilors were treated to a four-hour tour to review the state of town facilities and familarize new councilors, John MacKinnon and Carol Waig, with the properties. Doug Foutier showed the town officials the mechanic shops of the Public Works Garage. Police Chief Richard Lewsen took the councilors behind the scenes of the Public Safety Building, from the locker rooms to the booking station. Fire Chief Charles Hammond showed off the fire engines at each of the town’s four fire stations.
