60th Reunion (PHOTO)

The Windham High School class of 1945 held their 60th reunion at the Alumni Banquet on May 14th. Those attending were: Sylvia Allen Joyce, Kermit & Theresa Hodgdon, Wayne & Kathleen Rogers, Glenn Libby, Hiram & Shirley Weeks Atkinson, Donna Shaw Ambler, Ira & Roberta Smith Wyman, Ramona Moore and Marilyn Rogers Worrey. Those not able to attend were: Rosanna Davis Suflinsky of Michigan, Marilyn Gomperts Jorgensen of Florida, Priscilla Hawkes Mathias of California and Gladys Libby of Windham. At their annual reunion they always remember their classmates who are no longer with them.

Graduation Party

On June 4, 2005 David & Judy Vance had a graduation party for their daughter, Jenelle Vance, at their home on Sabbady Point Road. Jenelle graduated from Windham High School on June 12, 2005. She will be attending Saint Joseph’s College in September for Exercise Science. Jody Doty came home to visit on June 11th for a week. She will be staying with her parents Ed and Polly Varney. Jody now resides in North Carolina.

Supper

The Windham Land Trust will hold a supper June 25th at the Friends Church from 5-6:30 p.m. The menu will consist of a variety of salads, pies, baked beans, hot dogs and bread. The proceeds will go to their scholarship fund for a Windham High School senior.

Marriage

Jennifer Morrell, daughter of John Morrell and Karen Shepard, came home from Denver, Colorado on June 11th. She will be getting married at Fort Williams on June 19th to Bill Tom who is also from Denver, Colorado.

Entertained

Barbara and Bob Muir entertained Barb’s friend Carole Chenevert for lunch on June 9. Carole is from Michigan and they had not seen each other in 17 years. She had driven to Philadelphia to see her daughter then drove to Maine. They enjoyed lobster and a birthday cake as Carole’s birthday was June 13. They had a great time.

Birthday

Joanne Weatherby and her son, Matt Perry, share the same birthdate, June 6. On June 5th there was a cookout at the Weatherby’s to celebrate both birthdays. Those attending were: Lew Weatherby, Paul & Betty Estes, Sue & Steve Day, Alesha & Corey Buzzell with children Madison and Miller.
