Maine Center for Enterprise Development invites interested inventors and entrepreneurs to their monthly Lunch and Learn workshop on Wed June 15 at noon.

The program from noon to 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 15 is titled “How to Make a Buck From Your Invention” This lecture includes basic intellectual property considerations, design for manufacture (DFM), materials selection, life cycle analysis, disposal considerations, sales volume estimation via market analysis and competitive intelligence. Perceived value, price point setting, publicity and distribution methods will be discussed, and actual resources will be given to facilitate the product commercialization process.

Presenter: John Karp is the operations support manager at Enercon Technologies in Gray, ME. He is an inventor and entrepreneur, including leadership in the start-up of Syris Scientific, LLC, a high-tech medical equipment company. He is a graduate of Northeastern University.
