Prior to her graduation from Cape Elizabeth High School, Senior Anna Moir completed her Senior Transition Project by working in the Maine Legislature. The transition program by Cape Elizabeth High School allows students to participate in real world work environments before they graduate high school.

Anna chose to work in the Legislature and job shadow Senator Lynn Bromley, D-Cumberland County, and Representative Connie Goldman, D-Cape Elizabeth for two weeks.

During her experience, she was able to sit on closed door meetings with lawmakers and watch legislative debates in the House and Senate. Anna also assisted Senator Bromley with several tasks including researching legislation and working with constituents with who had specific questions about legislation.

“Anna is a bright and capable young woman who has a great future ahead of her and I hope that this experience encourages her to enter public service someday,” said Senator Bromley.

Anna will attend Haverford College in Pennsylvania in the fall of 2005.
