Ukraine has increasingly targeted naval facilities in Crimea in recent weeks while the brunt of its summer counteroffensive makes slow gains in the east and south of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian leader said last week that his military will continue with the counteroffensive through the autumn and into winter, vowing to keep the pressure on Russian forces.

According to Gov. Oleksandr Prokudin, Russian forces struck the city of Beryslav. A woman was killed and three people were wounded, including a police officer, he said.

A Ukrainian air assault unit commander fighting in the southeastern Zaporizhzhia region said that over the past week, the armored vehicles pushed through the “Surovikin line” near Verbove, which Ukrainian forces liberated last month.
