As the holiday season begins, South Portland and Scarborough offered residents a double dose of festive community fun on the same night. On Dec.1 from 4 to 6 p.m., South Portland’s Mill Creek Park held holiday festivities during the city’s annual celebration, coinciding with Scarborough’s Gingerbread Night which began at 6 p.m.
