The attack came as President Volodymyr Zelensky attended a summit of about 50 European leaders in Spain to drum up support from Ukraine’s allies.

European Union foreign ministers converged on the Ukrainian capital for an unannounced informal meeting that officials said would review the bloc’s support for Ukraine.

Russian strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure on the banks of the River Danube, which runs along the border with Romania, have renewed concerns of a potential escalation of the conflict in recent weeks.
