KHS alum named to assistant principal post

Valerie West tabbed for role at Kennebunk High School.

Dr. Terri Cooper will receive a bonus of $9,690.

Mandy Cummings will serve as the interim RSU 21 School Board member for Arundel this year.

Matthew Stratford will serve as the next school board chair.

Chair Lesley Stoeffler and Claudia Sayre will step down effective Jan. 6. Both will still remain on the school board.

RSU 21 and Kennebunk, Arundel, Kennebunkport Educators’ Association agreed to ratify a new teacher contract last week.

Despite having resigned last month, former RSU 21 School Board member Kirstin Shapiro will still face a recall election in Arundel.

RSU 21 and Kennebunk, Arundel, Kennebunkport Educators’ Association agreed to ratify a new teacher contract on Monday night.

Shapiro announced her resignation following her censure by the School Board on Nov. 8.

The RSU 21 School Board voted on Nov. 8 to formally censure Kirstin Shapiro.
