The state stands to join others in legalizing marijuana and increasing the minimum wage and would stand alone in adopting ranked-choice voting.

With about 82 percent of the precincts reporting, the proposal to adopt ranked-choice voting had support from 52 percent of the voters.

Among the major donors seeking to influence voters are the National Education Association, the National Rifle Association and a Virginia health policy group.
