Auto racing: Rusty Poland’s plea pays off for Oxford 250 attempt

After finding support on social media, the Windham driver decides to go against his initial plan and try to qualify for the big race.

Ricky Craven, Ken Squier and other racing dignitaries joined roughly 500 mourners at the track Bob Bahre made famous.

The Vermont driver earns second career OPS win, and Wayne Helliwell Jr. emerges victorious following late-race drama in the ACT 150.

Track will hold races Saturday and Sunday, June 27-28, in front of empty grandstands.

The track’s May slate includes four more Saturday events, but it is unsure when exactly the 2020 racing season will begin.
