Varsity Maine Boys Basketball Player of the Year: Jamier Rose, Noble

Rose helped turn Noble around and is the first athlete to win both the Fitzpatrick Trophy and Mr. Maine Basketball.

Each of these players had individual success that begat team success, making them the best of the best.

Players from state champions Windham and Falmouth are included among southern Maine’s best.

The junior won her third straight girls state championship and second consecutive New England title while battling a torn labrum in her shoulder.

Several grapplers return to the list, including one who earned his 200th career victory this season.

Our first-ever girls All-State squad contains multiple New England champions from the top programs throughout the state.

Ten schools are represented on the 14-wrestler list.

State champion Massabesic puts five on the list.

Hannah Perro and Delaney Frost from Noble and sisters Nevaeh and Sophie Grunhuvd of Massabesic take home hardware.
