State police arrest Ryan Gilliken, who shares a home with the woman and her three children, on assault charges; no charges have been filed against the man who shot and wounded the woman.

A man was taken into custody after the incident Tuesday night outside a home on River Road.

The shirtless thief later stopped at a convenience store for gas and to pick up a few items for the road, police say.
