Two years after referendum, Gorham unveils new public safety complex

An expanded police and  fire building was first talked about in 1999, but voters rejected it in 2013.

A truck spilled about 1,000 gallons of gasoline and diesel late Thursday. Environmental crews returned Friday to continue cleaning up.

The truck carrying about 5,000 gallons tipped over at a Gorham rotary and leaked fuel, forcing closures that lasted until early this morning.

Construction work will take place nightly on Route 25 and Route 114, police say.
