Environmental stewards say no compromise on Hedgehog Mountain bike plan
A month after the Freeport Town Council asked the Conservation Commission to search for a compromise that would allow a planned Hedgehog Mountain bike trail system to move forward, the commission unanimously decided Tuesday evening that it would not amend its recommended prohibition on bikes on the mountain’s summit.
