New Hampshire police continue search for missing Eliot man

The fatal crash occurred on the Piscataqua River in May 2018.

The motorboat they and two others were on crashed into a buoy off Eliot, authorities say.

Details were still emerging late Saturday about the incident in the Piscataqua River off the Eliot shoreline.

Theodor G. Short of South Berwick has worked in law enforcement for four decades.

The man stole several bottles of liquor from a convenience store last week and slipped on his way out, police say.

Theodor G. Short, a former Maine State Police commander, is the retired chief of Kittery and Eliot.
