Some football coaches less than thrilled by revamped Class B

Six traditional Class A programs have dropped to Class B this fall, raising the league to 22 teams.

If the Black Bears need a yard or two, they look to former Cheverus star Joe Fitzpatrick to get it.

Cheverus appears playoff-bound in several sports this fall.

The all-star football game, featuring recently graduated high school seniors from across Maine, is scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday at Thornton Academy.
