Wrong-way driver arrested following head-on crash on I-95 in Falmouth

State police said the driver crashed into a car operated by a pregnant woman, who sustained minor injuries.

Maine State Police were called to the crash, which also left 3 adults injured, Friday afternoon.

The crash involving a pickup truck and SUV happened late Wednesday morning on Pleasant Hill Road.

One driver was taken to the hospital after their car rolled and landed on its roof, according to Maine State Police.

The Freeport man was charged with criminal OUI and aggravated driving to endanger.

Officials said one man was driving erratically before crashing head-on into another vehicle.

The stretch of New Gorham Road in Westbrook and New Portland Road in Gorham was closed for nearly an hour.

The driver sustained only minor injuries and may have been pulled from the vehicle by a Good Samaritan, Kennebunk Fire and Rescue said.

Police are investigating whether speed and a medical event contributed to the crash on Yarmouth Road in Gray.

Police say the crash occurred when a moose walked into the southbound lanes of I-95 on Monday evening.
