Bowdoinham art show sees highest turnout in 17 years

The six-day event to promote local artisans’ work brought in more than 530 visitors this year.

The girls will learn about traditional Andean culture, visit the Charles Darwin Research Station and experience the diverse marine life.

Daniel Warren’s artwork is currently on display at the Cathance River Gallery in Bowdoinham.

The food banks and pantries have seen an increase in their clients in the last few months.

The town hall restoration committee is planning fundraising activities and the proceeds from it will be used for the restoration work.

There will be 18 artisans and local guest artists showing and selling their work during the six-day event.

As part of the program, volunteer drivers give free rides to people aged 60 and above who can no longer drive or have some disability.

The town will host a public forum from 6:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., Nov. 16 at Bowdoinham Community School.

The Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority is donating fencing and other equipment.

Smith wants to prioritize the town’s recycling program issue.
