Man found not guilty of Biddeford murder stays in jail to face new charge

The New York City man waived a detention hearing Monday so he remains held on a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Timothy Ortiz’s lawyer says the timing of the federal charge, two days after Ortiz’s acquittal, is suspicious.
