New monument to honor historic Scarborough racetrack

Warren Hamilton Jr., the grandson of Jim “J.B.” McConnell, designed a monument to Beech Ridge Motor Speedway.

Families of those buried around Scarborough’s Beech Ridge Motor Speedway mount one last bid to keep it alive.

After finding support on social media, the Windham driver decides to go against his initial plan and try to qualify for the big race.

The Scarborough track will hold the third of its seven planned race dates on Saturday – this time in front of a small audience.
