Robbery leads to 10-hour standoff, arrest of 3 teens in Auburn

Three juveniles were arrested on robbery, theft and weapons charges Sunday after the incident on Lake Street.

Police in the departments have shut down commenting for all future posts they make on the social media platform.

Leein Amos Hinkley, 43, was shot dead by police during the hourslong standoff on Russell Avenue in Auburn early Saturday morning.

The report clears Sgt. Steven Gosselin of any wrongdoing in the fatal shooting of 36-year-old Joseph Arbour on Sept. 27, 2021.

Johnny D. Briggs Jr. also is charged with causing a fire at one of the oldest buildings in Auburn.

While on bail for state drug charges, Jeremy Mercier sold methamphetamine to an undercover source, federal agents say.

Police believe Darren Douin may have been manufacturing and selling narcotics from his Happy Days Diner for nearly a decade.

The court sent back to the trial court two misdemeanor convictions for resentencing.

Lewiston police said Stephen Easley Jr. is believed to have assaulted and choked a woman over the weekend.
