Cold cases in Maine

Maine has over 120 cold cases involving unsolved homicides and missing persons dating back to 1953. Databases maintained by the Maine State Police and police departments in Portland and Bangor, which have their own homicide units, include about 80 of those, although they exclude some missing persons cases and unattended death cases that have not been declared homicides.
