Meet the authors
Dari Alpi is ‘from away.’ She is a displaced native New Yorker, loving living in Maine for the past 12 years. She’s been in journalism for 20-plus years. She joined the Portland Press Herald in April 2022 as their night web editor after nine years as centralmaine.com’s web editor.
Zack Aldrich is a copy editor/page designer at the Press Herald. He’s a Chicago native and dedicated fan of four-time Album of the Year Grammy Award-winner Taylor Swift.
Nate Thompson is a born-and-raised Mainer who grew up in Litchfield. He has worked in journalism for over 20 years as a reporter, editor and designer and joined the Press Herald in 2005. He has been recognized regionally and nationally for headline writing, page design and sports writing.
