Even after Abil Teshome, 23, Osman Sheikh, 31, and Mohamud Mohamed, 36, appeared in court, authorities refused to say how 49-year-old Freddy Akoa was killed.

The suspects are being held without bail pending court appearances in connection with the death of Freddy Akoa, 49, of Portland.

Authorities release few details in the case, but say they don’t believe Freddie Akoa’s death was the result of a random attack.

A second juvenile boy and two juvenile girls also are suspects in the break-ins in Waterboro, Shapleigh and Newfield.
