The blaze, which destroyed one building and damaged two others, caused too much damage for its cause to be pinpointed.

Austin E. Field, 18, of St. Albans died Friday after the car he was driving struck a tree on Mountain View Road.

The building is considered a total loss and although no one was injured many pets were still unaccounted for Tuesday evening, said Fairfield Fire Chief Duane Bickford.
