Mo Mehlsak is executive editor of The Forecaster, American Journal and Lakes Region Weekly. He's a graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and started his career in Los Angeles, where he covered the retail side of the automotive industry for Automotive Age magazine and later became a business writer for the Los Angeles Daily News. Mo moved to Maine in 1984 with his wife and first child, and after a year as a stay-at-home dad and freelance journalist, became a business writer and columnist for the Journal Tribune in Biddeford. He eventually became the paper's features editor, editor of the weekend edition and eventually, city editor. He joined The Forecaster in 2004 as managing editor and became executive editor in 2006. Mo and his wife raised two daughters in Cape Elizabeth, and now reside in South Portland.
