One of Yarmouth’s longest serving town councilors has died at the age of 79.

Dennis Hoey is the Portland Press Herald’s night reporter, covering any and all news that breaks in the late afternoon and evening hours. Before that he worked in the Press Herald’s Brunswick Bureau where he spent several years covering news in several midcoast towns from Rockland and Wiscasset to Bath and Brunswick.
