Students in the Scarborough primary schools were excited to control and code educational robots, called Ozobot, said Courtney Graffius, the schools’ tech coach.

The South Portland Land Trust voted in three new board members on Dec. 18, and announced its new leadership award in honor of the trust’s first president, Tom Blake.
Ransom Environmental to assess community sites
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency awarded South Portland a $300,000 grant to assess and identify properties with potentially hazardous materials, which can then be cleaned and reused.
Additional funding needed for new Scarborough Public Safety building
On Dec. 18 the Town Council gave initial approval to provide the extra funds.
