Gorham school budget prevails by 2 votes after recount
The results counted 1,829 votes in favor and 1,827 against, with 3,668 ballots cast and 12 blank ballots.
Taxes, emotion drive second Westbrook school budget referendum
School Committee Chair Suzanne Salisbury said the cuts made “were very difficult.” One resident said the budget was not enough.

Ballot recount next week on Gorham school budget that passed by four votes
The Gorham Republican Committee launched a successful petition drive calling for the recount after the $53.4 million budget passed last week by just four votes.
Westbrook School Committee cuts nearly $719,000 from rejected budget
The revised budget would result in an overall property tax increase of 9.38%.
