Adam Birt covers fewer schools now than when he kicked off his time as a reporter and photographer in January 2013 - a development for which he is eternally grateful, since it yokes him with far less stress. The lessons in butchering marine life get wearisome, but the whale wins in epic fashion. You'd think more sports teams would choose 'The White Whales' as their mascot."
