An Old Orchard Beach man was arrested early Friday morning by Maine Drug Enforcement agents for allegedly dealing heroin and prescription pills.
After a two-month investigation, agents served a search warrant at the Beecherie Avenue home of Bradford Phillips, 37, and found about 15 grams of heroin-fentanyl mix, along with a large amount of prescription opioids, including oxycodone and methadone.
He is charged with aggravated trafficking of a schedule W drug, a Class A felony punishable by up to 30 years in prison and a $50,000 fine.
The drugs had an estimated street value of about $2,200.
Phillips is being held in lieu of $20,000 cash bail, and is expected to make a court appearance late Friday.
Agents said they have identified associates of Phillips and are pursuing charges against them for their role in drug distribution. Additional arrests are expected in the future.
Anyone with information about Phillips or other people involved in the sale of illegal drugs in Maine is urged to contact the MDEA Tip Line at 1-800-452-6457.
