Service was restored to Time Warner Cable customers Saturday afternoon after outages on certain websites was reported in Portland and across the Northeast.

A technology support representative said the glitch was causing certain social media websites, such as Facebook, not to load. Customers in Maine and nationwide are experiencing problems, he said. The company’s website is reporting that traffic was rerouted and service restored to customers in Maine, New Hampshire and New York.
