TUCKER, Ga. — A former member of the R&B group Destiny’s Child has been arrested after being accused of drunkenly arguing with a man outside an Atlanta-area gym.

News outlets said 35-year-old Farrah Franklin was arrested early Thursday in DeKalb County on public intoxication and marijuana possession charges.

Police said Franklin smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Authorities said they discovered a green, leafy substance in Franklin’s purse they believe to be marijuana.

Franklin and Michelle Williams joined Destiny’s Child to replace two original members in 2000. Franklin left the group months later.
