BALTIMORE — Manny Machado hit two of Baltimore’s season-high six homers, including a grand slam, and the Orioles scored all their runs on long balls in an 11-3 rout of the Oakland Athletics on Sunday.

Machado connected with a man on in the first inning and added his third career slam in the eighth. The six RBI were a career high.

WHITE SOX 3, TWINS 1: Jose Quintana pitched seven innings of one-run ball, Austin Jackson hit a go-ahead double in the fifth, and Chicago won at home for a three-game sweep.

Tyler Duffey became the first Twin in four years to strike out four batters in an inning, but Avisail Garcia reached on a wild pitch in the seventh and scored on Dioner Navarro’s double.

RAYS 3, ANGELS 1: Matt Andriese pitched seven innings of four-hit ball in his season debut, Brad Miller hit a two-run homer and Tampa Bay completed a three-game road sweep.

Angels shortstop Andrelton Simmons left in the third inning because of a sprained left thumb.

RANGERS 8, TIGERS 3: Bobby Wilson hit a tiebreaking grand slam in the eighth against the team that just traded him away, and Texas finished a three-game sweep at Detroit.

INDIANS 5, ROYALS 4: Josh Tomlin stayed unbeaten and again helped Cleveland bounce back after a loss, leading the Indians past visiting Kansas City.

ASTROS 5, MARINERS 1: Tyler White hit two doubles and drove in a run to back up seven solid innings by Collin McHugh, and Houston won at home.

NATIONAL LEAGUE

CUBS 4, NATIONALS 3: Chicago walked Bryce Harper a record-tying six times, then beat the Nationals for its seventh straight win when Javier Baez homered in the 13th inning.

Harper was hit by a pitch the other time he came to the plate Sunday. The Cubs showed no interest in pitching to him in the series, walking him 13 times.

PIRATES 10, CARDINALS 5: Gregory Polanco hit a three-run homer and John Jaso added a two-run drive, backing Gerrit Cole’s six strong innings for Pittsburgh at St. Louis.

METS 4, PADRES 3: Matt Harvey struck out a season-high 10 in six innings, Yoenis Cespedes homered and the Mets escaped a bases-loaded jam with no outs in the eighth to win at San Diego.

PHILLIES 6, MARLINS 5: Tyler Goeddel hit an RBI double for his first career extra-base hit and then scored in a two-run eighth, helping Philadelphia rally at Miami.

ROCKIES 2, GIANTS 0: Nolan Arenado had three hits, Eddie Butler pitched six innings for his first win since being promoted from the minors, and Colorado beat host San Francisco.

DIAMONDBACKS 5, BRAVES 3: Chris Herrmann’s second homer of the game, a two-run drive off Jim Johnson with two outs in the 11th inning, lifted Arizona to a three-game sweep in Atlanta.

BREWERS 5, REDS 4: Jonathan Lucroy greeted Ross Ohlendorf with a tiebreaking home run leading off the eighth, then caught Billy Hamilton stealing for the final out as Milwaukee rallied past host Cincinnati.

INTERLEAGUE

DODGERS 4, BLUE JAYS 2: Howie Kendrick hit a tiebreaking single in the eighth inning, and Los Angeles won at Toronto.

NOTES

RANGERS: Right-hander A.J. Griffin was put on the 15-day disabled list after leaving his start Saturday with stiffness in his throwing shoulder.
