Maine State Police say a 70-year-old Dedham man was killed Thursday morning after he lost control of the van he was driving in Plymouth.

Steve McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety, identified the victim as Joseph Deschaine.

Deschaine lost control of his 2013 van on a curve and hit a ledge as he was getting off Interstate 95 at Exit 161 southbound. He died instantly.
