TWILIGHT LEAGUE: Marc Ouimet scored on a sacrifice fly by Nate Ellis in the ninth inning to lift Lenders Network to a 2-1 victory over Aero Heating & Ventilating in the third and deciding game of their semifinal series.
Ouimet had given Lenders Network a 1-0 lead with an RBI single in the third inning. Aero tied it on a home run by Chris Portas in the ninth.
Brooks Candage struck out seven while pitching a three-hitter to earn the win for Lenders Network.
Aero starter Mike Collar allowed nine hits and struck out 14.
BOXING
PORTLAND BOXING CLUB: Light welterweight Casey Kramlich of the Portland Boxing Club won a unanimous decision over Willy Carville of Lewiston on Saturday night at Skowhegan High School.
PBC featherweight John Lopez defeated Zach Constantey of Waterville by second-round knockout, and junior featherweight Christian Castaneda won his amateur debut against Markel Cinton of Holyoke, Mass.
MIXED MARTIAL ARTS
UFC: Lincolnville native Tim Boetsch scored a victory by unanimous decision over Todd Brown in Boetsch’s return to the Ultimate Fighting Championship on Saturday night at UFC 117 in Oakland, Calif.
Boetsch (12-3), fresh off three consecutive wins since being released by the UFC in March 2009, wobbled Brown (11-2, 1 no contest) with a right hand in the first round and scored two takedowns in the third round for a 29-28 edge on the scorecards across the board.
